acrylic on board, 60 x 80 cm. Hmm, having to use my acrylics because I'm inside during the winter! - that sea is a bit much - I'de better tone it down!

Hi, Nancy - thanks!
I like this one.
Hi, Dan - thanks for commenting. Your painting was very nice!
Great dramatic lighting, Jon :)
Hi, Sharon - yep, right! I thought of that horizon when listening to Richard on the video - but forgot! It is difficult to avoid in this one though! Thanks
I like the colorful sparkling water in the dark water near the boats, and the man with the nets. It turned out great, but again the horizon line is in the center...
Anne - thanks a lot that's a good critique - so is Richard's - plenty to think about - I'll try and redo this and the othr by going over 'em in juicy oïl...
Hi, Ruby - ta!
lovely work Jon
Oh one more suggestion, fix the perfect green triangle hill. Just a lump or bump here or there should do the trick !
I like the way that you put the foreground boats in shadow with a dark value. It brings intrigue to the painting. Nice value planning ! I think that the electric green is a little overpowering in the water. It might be more effective if you tone the color down to echo the sky a little more. Maybe leave small ripples of the green leading the eye from front dark boats to the buildings. What ever you decide it is a creative approach to this painting.
