. I just noticed the little red umbrella in the back ground.. awesome!
Thank you Jessica and Ann for your sweet comments.
The mottled effect you've achieved on the foreground sand is very beautiful, as is the sunny highlight on the sand under the umbrella
Great job, the variety of color and texture make this painting very beautiful
Thanks Silvana! You should try it - it's easier than it looks :)
Thanks Jess! You are very kind!!! I did take part of that workshop, but oviously didn't use the credit card much... just for the sailboat's masts...!!! You really make the credit card have an excellent effect!
Silvana - not at all! I used a old credit card and kinda plastered on the paint, layer by layer, and scrape it back when I need to. I don't cut up the credit card, I just used the smaller end and the corner of the credit card. Since its acrylic it dries fast so it is pretty easy. Richard had a workshop on it a while back, the Roberton Island one, and there are also free tutorials on youtube if you search under painting with a credit card. Jess
Jess, would you mind sharing the way you madethat effect on the foreground sand? It's the same way you managed the reflections in the water in the WS painting isn't it? It is great!!!!
