I did this painting for the challenge on DPW. It's the first time I've paired birch trees and I didn't know how challenging it would be. So many vertical lines!

That is funny. I like the way the reds lead into that glow at the back. I've never really used a palette knife very successfully. There is just so much to learn, isn't there?

Thank you Nancy. When my mom saw it she thought it was a forest fire! HaHa! It does kind of look like that. This was really difficult for me in the beginning but half way through, when I could start to see it coming together, it was fun. I found the only way to get the look I was after was to use a palette knife. I used a brush on the trunks.
