This is a demonstration of how to paint white roses in oils (or acrylic) using the Old Master's Flemish technique of seven layers for near photo realism results. The entire process from canvas prep, color scheme, mixing colors used on the palette, and all the layers to the finished painting are shown.

OMG, how did I miss this...Superb!  I used to paint an underpainting first and then glaze Roena. (how I was taught in school) I think I prefer how the end effect looks (but painting directly now to try to improve).  Will check out your video tomorrow!
