I put acrylic paint in tubes and applied it to the canvas much like Jackson Pollack randomly applied his paint. I then literally shook the painting on each side, manipulating the flow of the paint until I got the desired effect. This started out of frustration one afternoon when I shook my canvas like a wayward child. I was then mesmerized by the reaction of the paint.
