Do you have any goals for your painting?
To become a lot more at ease and not have my brain scrambling through the fairly vast amount of information about almost every stage of the painting process!...😞
The process to produce a successful landscape painting needs to be almost second nature, without over thinking things and second guessing yourself!
I'm a real new to painting and using color to create a solid, intresting piece of art.
Only about 3 years, never had any formal class.
I'm really hoping that the Worcester Art Museum will consider me to attend classes they have there!?
I'm receiving disability benefits for anxiety disorder and bi-polar and P.T.S.D. unfortunately but as long as I take my meds it usually keeps the symptoms at bay.
In a nutshell my goal of my art journey is to have a solid foundation for the fundamentals of picture making and techniques.
The reason behind that is the unique and unparalleled feeling of pure joy I get when I'm hitting all my marks during a painting!!
It's almost indescribable to put it in words!
I feel pride and my favorite is when I can't believe that I was able to make a beautiful successful piece of art for this sometimes dark and gloomy world we currently live in!
Like I am doing a bit of good, like I finally have a purpose in life!
Art literally saved my life....but that's a whole different story!
If you ever want to find out just ask I like to acknowledge it so I don't become complacent in my learning.
Thanks for reading sorry it was really long.
Maybe you can tell that I'm yearning for deep conversations about Art. I have a fiance but she just doesn't share my enthusiasm for art at least like mine and that's fine but I want to absorb as much as I can handle.
I don't work so I have plenty of time but no one to connect with on the subject because there's something transcendent and deeply personal about painting.
Although I've never done any sort of en Plein air and by what I gather from reading is that's a darn shame!
I can only imagine the feeling of being In the subject itself must be intense and hugely confusing at least until you can learn to simplify shapes, values and color relationships and many other things of course.
But I have to end it somewhere cuz if I don't I'll keep going it's crazy how inspired I can become when just talking about painting or drawing..... Jayson
