Living or dead? David A. Leffel (Living - amazing realism, fantastic books of which I have several - New York based) and Andrew Tischler (again living, amazing realism and local!) One can but dream to even reach a small grain of the ability that these Greats oooze in talent! :)
Do you have any goals for your painting?
I only started teaching myself two years ago after a major operation, and this is a whole new journey for me and I'm looking forward to improving on my realism in my work. At the moment (although it is getting better) I feel they are still looking a bit 'stiff' and I need to get more of the fluidity and movement of 'life' into my pictures. :)
Mia, I just read your profile. I met David Leffel in Santa Fe last year. Lustening to him and watching him paint was quite a treat. I asked him about focus. He said "little bit of something and a whole lot of nothing". It was a great advice.
