Profile Information

How would you categorize your painting style?
still trying to figure it out....
Which medium do you prefer? eg. oils, acrylics, etc.
Never used oils, but think I would like to...
Are you a full time artist?
Full Time
Who are your favourite 2 artists?
Van Gough, Joseph Turner, and many illustrators today.
Do you have any goals for your painting?
I would like to achieve greater emotions with my subject matter. I paint hot rods and race cars... I would like to portray them as if they were not just machines but living a breathing things. EXAMPLE - Paint a hot rod that looks like it is looking back at you, in a happy way...or if it is racing then what is it thinking. If it is at a car show...is it happy or sad... If there are a row of cars, which on wants to be there and is proud...and which on could care less....

Well Morgan. I got the 2nd thing about you starting a new discussion. I thougth it was NEW so I spent some time and put my two cents worth......hit enter.......and then noticed it was still in the Master Class spot. Yikes. I can not get rid of my comment either! Why not send a note to Richard Robinson and explain what you are trying to do, what happened, and see if he can help. Check out BLOG.......looks like people just put things in there. Not a discussion perhaps. I am no help. Sorry. Ro

Hi Morgan, What a great idea you had in the forum. I think the thing for you to do is to ADD A DISCUSSION. On the FORUM page near the top on the right look for " + Add a Discussion".
You might quickly go to the "Master Class Discussion" and see if you can copy and delete your post and then paste it in your new discussion window.

The Discussion called Master Class is for those people who are working their way through Richard's Master Class DVD.

I will wait until you have this sorted out and in your very own discussion before I join in. Ro

Hi Morgan, I just thought I would drop by to welcome you to the site. I really enjoy the art and artist friends I have found here. The art is under the tab Photos. I want to encourage you to not only look, but also give the artist some feedback. I think we all can use some encouragement and insite from other artist. ///// I had a big smile on my face reading your ideas for turning your cars into "living, breathing things". You might look at Gail Runciman-Nicholls's work. She does some amazing cars in WC. Go to the Members tab and type in her name then scroll down to her gallery - view all. Ro
