Do you have any goals for your painting?
Totally time to update! I have a ten year plan in progress. I have just started year 3. So year 1 was a painting a day, resulting in a total of 280 paintings for 2010. Year 2 was about theory and skill improvement which I did by teaching yr9 & 10 Art. Year 3 is about being critiqued. So I am aiming to enter two competitions/workshops per month: here and with the mag' Aus Artist.
I retired in 2009 after working 30 years administrative work at SJ Police Department. I've always loved art and music, but couldn't make a living off it, so my goal was to paint before I die. In 2009 I took a watercolor class, but a year later found a Community Center oil painting class and fell in love with oils. I posted everything I've ever oil painted, and just finished reading Alla Prima which I was very impressed with. I agree with you so much on leaving some art to the imagination, just like reading a book or hearing a song, I don't want everything spelled out. But I see that my art is really tight and I have a better understanding of what I want to work towards now, if that makes any sense. Now I just need to make time and paint more like you! I really admire your stuff!

Your paintings appear very loose and natural, hard for me to imagine you struggle. I'm impressed by your 10 year goal. I like your updated page.
I've been admiring your photo album. Beautiful brushwork technique and clean colors. You obviously were successful with your New Year's resolution.
