How would you categorize your painting style?: Not yet defined, I am searching, maybe will go somewhere in the impressionistic direction

Which medium do you prefer? eg. oils, acrylics, etc.: M.Graham Oils

Are you a full time artist?: Some Time

Who are your favourite 2 artists?: Sorolla, Sargent, Richard Robinson ;-), Dali, Klimt, Rembrandt

Do you have any goals for your painting?: I want to achieve a really founded knowledge and craftsmanship in painting to be able to paint exactly what I imagine and produce beautiful artworks so that one day I can maybe live as an artist and not longer as a postproductioner - which is not a bad job but sometimes a little bit boring :-)

So far I have a "O" composition started............have not completely decided where the center of interest is going to be though........more thinking. lol

I am pretty sure this photographer, who I contacted and is a professor of plants in some college in England, got the photo and completely turned the background black! I can tell bc I noticed a slight glow of lighter color around all the edge. Perhaps try early morning light or late evening light and a tripod and pray for no wind to make the flower move. LOL //// I should have all the ingredients for the slow dry med and new 15x30" canvases very soon. I am excited to try the Carder method......going to do a landscape though. I have some 8x10" canvases on order as well for more flower paintings. Just have to decide which one.
