Gloves for Artists (protection against paint)

We all have used the Latex gloves to protect our hands from the toxic paints.  I know Richard Robinson also does.  But the problem with Latex gloves is that it makes your hand sweaty and prune-y.  So a very good alternative is a gardeners glove that I have been using for a year or so (shown below).  The front has rubber/vinyl like material (which is thin) and the back is cloth and helps the hand breath and your hand will not be sweaty at all, no matter how hot.  The rubber part covers the…

Winter in Michigan

My third photo is from the desert with a beautiful multi-armed Saguaro as the focus point. At first I saw again the cross formula with the cactus as the perpendicular and the rocks as the longitudinal. Also the middle rock leads me to another formula called the balance-scale formula where you have a dominant center of interest with similar masses and shapes distributed somewhat equally on both sides. And then I saw the diagonal formula and I could see the lines very plainly.!

Winter in Michigan

Hi, Everyone!  Winter begins & i need something to keep me busy & to find something to do with this artistic energy as my house is filling up with paintings!

Traveling Artist//Jodi Murphy

I have been planning to start a blog for a while now.  This one will be a trial run to see if and how it works.  My husband and I are on a RV adventure.  We left our home on November 15 and traveled to Apache Junction, AZ.   We stayed there 2 weeks and thoroughly enjoyed the area.  Being an artist, I had to see the Superstition Mountains while there. I almost completed a plein air painting while visiting the park, and am working to complete the painting now.  We also visited art galleries in…
