This painting turned out very different to what I had in my head. I am not sure about it.  Has any one any ideas on how to improve it? I may even cut it to a different size yet. Thanks

The photo does not really show the colours correctly but you get the drift.

Cheers and blessings

You have two conflicting focal interests - furniture and the plants on the terrace.  A possible correction could be a cool wash from the left to right to indicate a shadow.  It would connect the painting from one side to another.

In future work do not depend so closely to a photograph.  Sketch out your idea and plan your values and center of interest.

I think your painting is lovely, very delicate, and I agree with regard to the table and chairs settings, it does stand out very starkly compared with the rest of the painting. Perhaps cream colour would be better. just a thought, however, the whole of the picture is beautiful

I'm only new to the complete artist. Since joining I've been hacked.
I haven't painted for 3 years. I think your painting is just beautiful, I think the chairs stand out as too solid a colour, beware who you accept as friends on this site, I'm having so much trouble now on facebook.
Keep up your beautiful work
