"Mountain Track" - Acrylic on Canvas - 30x24"

Had fun doing this one today - using big brushes, loads of paint, impasto gel, water sprayer, palette knife, rags, fingers and hands - just GOING FOR IT! Whoohoo! That's the real benefit of doing those little pleinair paintings before the big studio piece - it lets you try things you normally wouldn't because you've got most of the problems solved already.

The acrylics I used are the Atelier Interactive Professional Artists’ Acrylics from Chroma which are re-workable - allowing for more of a wet in wet painting technique normally only possible with oil painting.

Richard... you truly inspire me to get out there with the paints - now, can you stop it raining?
Love this painting - cheers,
Edith.

Richard, I really like this painting. You did a masterful job of playing the yellow against its compliment, purple, at the base of the mountain. Just lovely.

I think that you for sure have a psychedelic brain. And I mean that only in the very best way!
