"Mountain Track" - Acrylic on Canvas - 30x24"
Had fun doing this one today - using big brushes, loads of paint, impasto gel, water sprayer, palette knife, rags, fingers and hands - just GOING FOR IT! Whoohoo! That's the real benefit of doing those little pleinair paintings before the big studio piece - it lets you try things you normally wouldn't because you've got most of the problems solved already.
The acrylics I used are the Atelier Interactive Professional Artists’ Acrylics from Chroma which are re-workable - allowing for more of a wet in wet painting technique normally only possible with oil painting.
