"Glenorchy Boat Shed" 12x12" oil on canvas |
Photoshopped - spot the one difference. Is it better? |
Stunning weather today saw John Crump, Garrick Tremain and myself painting happily, well, painting at any rate, on the shores of Glenorchy. We all cursed our pathetic attempts to capture the beauty of the place but spent more time laughing about it than crying so all's well that ends well.

Good fodder for a studio painting - yes feel free to use it. |

Clever man, good design
He makes those easels himself - very sturdy.
Magic NZ! Do you know the brand of easel John is using? looks sturdy.
Wow another awesome painting from Richard! I also like the warmer one. Strange seeing you all bundled up in the cold out there and it is blistering hot out here. Stay warm and keep painting!!!
I would say the one difference is, as Ruby pointed out, the warmer tone on the shed and its reflection in the water. It does not appear to me that any other aspect of the picture is altered (though I would not be surprised if I were proven wrong). Beautiful scenery and an equally fine painting to match!
Gorgeous work Richard. I would say the warmer one is best, although I love the first Glenorchy Boat Shed as well. You really do have an awesome style of painting Richard. You make art look so easy. Oh, if only !!!! :)))
