I see what you mean by the cast shadow... didn't even notice until you pointed it out. Of course, I wasn't critiqueing it either. lol I love the bit of red you put in there and also the gull. One thing I am not too certain about is the background ocean. It doesn't recede enough. What do you think? How can you make it recede more if you wanted to? Maybe make it darker around the edges at the top and adding a little bit of another color?
I see him! smiles : ))
Well, at least I got you thinking about it. I thought it might be one of those little figures you were teaching but then again he is pretty small. He is a little white guy. You can find him taking a swing just to the left of the red fareway. So cute! Or maybe it is just my imagination which is quite large. Anyway if you find him I hope you don't take him out. I really like this painting, even if you did miss the cast shadows. I think it is fun to include little hidden things in paintings.
:-) You got me there Melanie, I can't see the golfer, not for lack of trying. Huh I just realised I missed the boat's cast shadow on the water on the left! Duh. And got the shadow on the wrong side on the wooden tail plate. Double duh.
Ok , I found the little golfer guy you planted in here Richard. You thought you would just sneak that one right on in there didn't cha? ( I'm really reaching now.) So I am thinking, hmmmm, maybe there is a giraffe or a 3 legged cow hiding hey? I think I'm on to you now!
No they did not legalize marajauna here, I'm all good.
I don't need the signature, I can always spot them! Smiles : ))
Very nice Richard. I always like to find your trademark touch of red. It is your stamp. Soon you will not have to sign your paintings anymore :)
