Took the evening off playing with the kiddies and went looking for a painting spot. Found this dinghy catching the last of the soft evening light and couldn't resist it.

Of course, I wasn't critiqueing it either. lol I love the bit of red you put in there and also the gull. One thing I am not too certain about is the background ocean. It doesn't recede enough. What do you think? How can you make it recede more if you wanted to? Maybe make it darker around the edges at the top and adding a little bit of another color?

I thought it might be one of those little figures you were teaching but then again he is pretty small. He is a little white guy. You can find him taking a swing just to the left of the red fareway. So cute! Or maybe it is just my imagination which is quite large. Anyway if you find him I hope you don't take him out. I really like this painting, even if you did miss the cast shadows. I think it is fun to include little hidden things in paintings.
