Pa Beach, Great Barrier Island, New Zealand.
Not a bad spot eh!? This is from my recent trip to Great Barrier Island. If you are keen like I am to use this photo for the next online workshop please do click on the image and then use the 'like' button to vote for this. I've also been commissioned to paint a large painting of this so it would be nice to kill two birds with one stone and you'll also get to see how I deal with a large commission from whoa to go.
Thanks guys.

Richard, this photo seems more inviting to paint than the last two river and mountain scenes,I like it.
This is a particulary nice perspective, interesting shadow and textures.
I like this photo, but would like to see more variety as they have mostly been water and mountains.
For those wanting more variety in subject matter, I was thinking this would be the last landscape photo for a while. 4 workshop videos = 1 dvd, which is all about landscapes from photographs. I will then have a vote to see who wants to go to still life next, and who wants some plein air (outdoor) painting challenges.
Although I have a long way to go to paint mountains, rivers and trees well(very complicated and so much to learn), I agree with Anne Marie Michel that we may have more variety in the subject.
I think it's gorgeous, but a bit intimidating too.
I was hoping for more variety in the subject. Clouds, still life, seagull, what happened, didn't anyone express interest in any of those choices? So I have to say no, I do not like this photo.
I love it!!!
Love the beautiful water color
