Who knows how but I have lost your e-mail. I just found out about a program to track hurricanes that you may or may not know about. I thought about you when I got it sent to me.

Concerning the copyright article.  I am in total agreement with you and I think that is what one of the articles stated.  You might could use 10% of a photo and be OK, so bacisly.....dont use it!  I only paint from my own photos that I take myself.  Thank goodness it is easy for me to find good material because we travel to beautiful places all the time.  smile  Ro

Hi Roana, I have not been able to finish anything. My oldest child (39) is ill from a long childhood dissability and he is temporarily residing at my house until we get him back on his fee. I'm actually going to try to paint but it is already afternoon and I havn't paid my bills yet. Time flies. I will work it out. Peni

Hi Peni, I have been working hard on the basics of painting cubes, cylindars, cones, and apples in Richard's color course. Trying to learn to see colors as values. I posted them on the FORUM under COLOR on page 4 & 5 I think. It is hard, but I felt I was making progress after the 11th one! ///// Then I have watched the Master Class DVD. It was so helpful to see him mix colors - I have done that before! I think I was expecting some magic. LOL My mind is whirling with study thoughts. I am going to give myself a little more time to finish Richard's color course and then I am going to start doing some serious painting using what I have learned and hope I can see improvement! /// We moved to a new state park yesterday and are finishing the settling in process. Don is setting up the satelite now. We need to make a bank deposit at Walmart (LOL)--we spend so much there I call it depositing into Walmart's bank account! he he /// We are close to a larger town so there is all that kind of shopping to do., and a new area to go and explore--fun. ///// Did you finish the painting for your show that you were working on? "Brook" Peni, I was looking at your painting of Brook. Look at the original and you be the judge. There is something about the eyes that bothers me. I am not sure if there are too many white highlights or the edge of the iris is softened rather than being a sharp line. To me she does not look alert. Looking at a computer screne at a photo of a painting is just not like looking at the original! Now that I have mentioned this.....do you want me to tell you things like that or not? You may have all the input you need from your art group. (Lucky you having an art group.) Ro

Sounds like WE get excited about art! LOL I stuck 2 pic under yours with some light effects. The thing that draws me to RR paintings is his free use of much lighter values that draws you into the painting. So far I have not achieved that lightness. I have his Color and Master Class DVDs that I am just starting on. Sure hope that will help me with the knowledge I lack and the boldness to ......well......be bold! LOL Roena
