Thank you for your interest! I found Nancy Reyner's video on Youtube which has detailed instructions on applying gold leaf. I used imitation gold leaf on canvas board. It is sealed as per her video, and then painted on with oils. The leaf is delicate, and I found, a little too uniform, so, then applied sizing (glue) on certain areas and applied torn pieces of gold leaf in those areas. It has to be sealed really well. I applied Holbein's picture varnish (3 coats). You can ask me anything as I am happy to share anything and I am here to learn. I love your landscapes by the way. Carson valley and Bay Lands in particular!!! Good work!
