I've finished my painting using a painted ground. What an interesting experience. There is a big difference when you do this as on a white canvas it's much lighter. Will post tomorrow the picture. Happy painting!

Hi Jeri Yes it is not a common name in NZ Our Boucher side of the family From NZ days came from Christchurch way. My husbands father was a shepherd.

Glad to be your friend. This is a cool site for all level of artists and a great learning tool. I am fortunate to live not that far from Richard R. and he is so generous with sharing his skill which he has spent a lot of tome mastering and I have seen it change over the years. Such a talented young man.

Hi Jeri, I didn't realize that you live near me. I am in San Jose and paint with friends that live in Gilroy. Where is Firebaugh ?  I drove over to Fresno last week through Pacheco pass and thought about taking a painting field trip there.

Hi Jeri, Thank you for your friend request.  I wish you every success with your future dreams - to be able to have more time to paint is great. I stopped working last year and it's great to have more time to spend on painting now. Your paintings are lovely and I love your use of colour.

Hi Jeri, thanks for your friend invitation. I appreciate your offer for tips and sharing your expertise.  Love your artwork! I'm just beginning my artist journey and trying to learn all I can about acrylic painting. I started with watercolor but found acrylics more forgiving and I can stop and start when I need to.  My free time is limited as I work full time and have two grandsons I love spending time with. Thanks again and I look forward to a productive friendship.
