For the group exercise, I wanted to superimpose a grid over my painting piece to make it easier to get the position of elements correct in my painting. You can do this using Photoshop, but for those of us who don't have it, there is an alternative. My husband found a free tool online that you can use to do this very easily.
1. Install Paint.NET

Laura, I have just visited your website, your paintings look sensational!! :-}
Sounds good Laura; see you tomorrow!
Thanks Laura!! I'm having a real fun time here in Cedarburg! They asked me to do the TV interview to help promote the event and it was really fun. I have painted a lot of paintings and met some more fabulous artists that I had not met before. I'm going to finish the painting that I started during the TV interview yesterday, go paint a Farmers' Market in a little town called Theinsville, finish up a couple of afternoon paintings from the other day and then go do a nocturne of a really funky restaurant here in Cedarburg. This is just plain fun!!!
Perfect...........I have the DVD on the sunsets. I will go review. I want to mix and tube up some premixed grays to use often. I am going to do a en plein air where we are now due to the amazing colorful scenes. So inspired! smile I saw where you and Stu did a painting of a cliff and ocean together. How fun is that! Your painting was pretty. I enjoyed reading Michael's comment about leading the eye into the pic. HUM going to have to do some creative moving around for my place to work. Glad I read that. Thanks again for the quick reply.
I know, I thought we were already on each other's friends list. LOL What I wanted to ask you, since I think you have taken more of RR workshops than I have. Do you remember which one it was where he mixed 2 piles of gray to use in his mixes for the painting? I think he mixed one cool gray and one warm gray. Hugs, Roena
