How would you categorize your painting style?: realistic with touches of abstraction - but then I am fairly new to the art world. What do you think?

Which medium do you prefer? eg. oils, acrylics, etc.: watercolor, oils

Are you a full time artist?: Part Time

Who are your favourite 2 artists?: Susan Harrison-Tustain and Ben Lustenhouwer are two of my favorite contemporary artists. Both do spectacular portraits.

Do you have any goals for your painting?: I want to continue to improve on all levels. Now that I have learned to do realistic detail, I want to learn to loosen up. I have only been painting for about 6 years and I still have a LOT to learn!

I was so frastrated by his strawhat as there are so many tiny details. I did not know where to looking for help. So I put it away for 3monthes before I struggled on it again.
