Oil on canvas board 9x12
Inspired by Thomas W., this time I tried to finish it in 1 1/2 Hr though,
it took me 2 hours. I feel still unfinished with it.

Beautiful painting and brushstrokes. My suggestion; change the red value from backround with the one in foreground, bring the blue spot nera the big house and give more realistic shape to the foreground tree trunks.

Bright and light, the path lays down and moves us back into the  painting. It makes us want to follow it to somewhere special

Hey Thomas, we all want to paint like you, my friend!!! :)))  Hi Jane, I agree with Thomas's comments, adding that your shadow across the path could be a wee bit darker in value ..the same value as the shadow on the grass.  Anyway, pretty nice painting!!

Painterly......and alive.......I thank you for your comment.....I think that when I look at this ....and travel through . The upper left side of you're painting , maybe could be stronger with just a few more dark accents.....Think of you're painting as a place where the eye travels along.....I go up the path......and there is really not something for me to see......( I could be wrong)......You have that beautiful red bush, but I feel something is missing.....It does not have to be much,.......The right side is so strong, and well painted....and holds a lot of weight and attention............I also took your painting.....and flipped it(reversed the image).....Pretty interesting compositionally...............Lastly......You already have such a beautiful style....and color sense........
