Thank you Rose and Mario for the nice comments!
I changed my approach for this compared to my other faces and slowed down at an early stage to measure distances more. That way I didn't have to redo as much as usually which made it a bit easier.

Janet, thank you! Showing the teeth gives it the character of a photo snapshot not a serious portrait. On the other hand we are more involved when someone laughs. These teeth are a bit overrendered maybe but it is not what strikes me first when i was to improve this. The nose....

I had a teacher tell me not to do teeth. Not sure I entirely agree but they can be difficult. Are they the way you wanted? Your confident style is perfect for portraits I think. Great.

Thank you Pauline. Likeness is the primary thing i want to improve on when painting faces at this stage (not busy yet with the planes of the head approach to show better form). I like your comment :-)
