Thanks a lot guys. I hesitated as to whether to attempt it - and now I've got an idea for another take on the subject - I find it hard to judge what might work - I guess that' what studies are for!

Beautiful.  Although, being a past sailor, I think your side stays are too thick, and would read better if you thinned out those brush strokes.  Otherwise the design and paint handling is terrific!!
