Hi, Aurelia and Jessica - thanks. The white thing is water - I've not had problems with water in shadow until now - darn it!

Really like the lead-in with the ropes & their shadows & the bright colours of the boats making them the focus!

Lovely painting Jon!  I will just remove that white thing in the shadows between the boats.  Your composition is good, and I also like the linking shadows.

Very nice Jon!!     I like the composition and how you connected the two boats into one shape by joining the cast shadows.
