Oil on canvas 12x16". This little exercise kept me very busy. I’ve scraped twice my “energetic brush strokes”. In the end, I use the painting knife to apply them. It could do with more scraping but I felt for poor canvas so, I’ve decided the leave it as it is. My friends, feel free to analyse it and comment.

Ana, the fore ground work and foliage is great, and I love the light spilling onto the beach , well done !

Diane, you are so nice coming to my rescue. I am sure you are wright otherwise Richard would not put those cool colours in the sunset; and to understand and capture that coolness one has to be on the spot. Very interesting, may be that is the reason I could not get it right. Thank you for clearing up for me!
