Learning Points

1. Shapes. To not feel completely overwhelmed when doing this one, I just looked at the shapes and the colors of the shapes without thinking about them being boats.

2. Straight lines, aka those ropes. I painted the ropes without worrying if they were perfect, then I went back with a flat brush and cleaned them up.

I love this composition, and it's so well painted, Pandalana.  I feel like it shouldn't work with the red boat being on the side, but it absolutely does work!
