Pear Park by Sharon Repple 12 x 24 x 1 1/2
Well here is my painting with revisions re: Michael's suggestions. I'm very pleased with the changes especially the cast shadow of the tree. I changed the perspective of the shadow to correspond better to the source of light and cooled the shadow. I can't thank Michael enough for his help and of course Michael if you need to do some more pickin' I'd welcome your advice.

Thanks Ann, Maria and Laura and the 'likes" for encouraging me with your wonderful comments
Love the way you have painted the light coming thru the tree and grass area, glorious sky holes !
This certainly is an eye catching painting Sharon. I like it very much. Congratulations
This is just so beautiful Sharon!!! I love every part of the painting and I wish one day I can paint one like this.
Thanks so much Michael, actually the trees are warmer than in this photo. Not sure why they look cooler than they are. Maybe after I learn to paint better, I can learn how to photograph them. With each painting, I realize how much I love to paint.
Sharon, you have really nailed it!! ..congratulations and thank you for your nice comments. I would not touch this anymore ..it is ready to be framed....Your foreground tree could be a little warmer (burnt sienna + red + UB) with the BS and Red dominating the mix ....but leave it alone, because everything here is keyed to that ..if you change it now, it might throw other things off ...Great job Sharon!! BTW, do you see how that shaft of light at the curve of the road brings us back there as well as gives sparkle to the painting ..Wow!! ..it looks like diamonds back there sparkling in the sun!!
