Yey, I finally did it.
I finished my painting and it took some time to scan it (it is quite big) and reconstruct the scanned parts in Photoshop. But here it is. It`s for my dad`s bday, he was very happy and it already hangs in my parent`s living room.

I can only repeat what others have expressed.  Particularly, I really like the design of this painting.  Very nice.

Thank you all so much for your kind words. I am quite happy, because it is my first landscape canvas painting since...I don`t know. I tried it a few times when I was 19 or 20, but I was very very impatient at that time. That changed a little. Nevertheless, it was very demanding for me. After a long painting session, I fell immmediately in bed and slept for some hours. An I reworked some parts a few times because I wasn`t satisfy. I had to finish it for a special date, so it was great to have a deadline. It made me stop to overwork stuff and teach my eye to love looser strokes.

@Lori: it is 50x120, I guess. I realized I like bigger paintings more, so I just bought a 80 x 120 canvas :D :D :D - Let´s see when I get started!

This is beautifully painted! I bet your dad loves it..How big is it?

your foreground darks really lead the eye up and into the painting & to the cabin--great design and lovely soft atmospheric perspective. Love it!

A beautifully designed piece of art Fabia!!!   Wonderful use of chiaroscuro.  You obviously put a lot of thought into how you were going to balance  the elements of this painting  ..it is very successful.  I like how you have echoed the red color so very  subtle in the small cabin and reddish violet  tree trunks ...very ingenious and creative.   Your far visual music is your great notan!!! ...the near visual music is your fantastic variety of tones within the light and dark shapes!!  What is the size of this painting ..it must look pretty impressive hanging on the wall!!

Wow! the darks and lights are wonderful - the lush green sunlit area is so beautiful - love how it moves into the dark. Also admire the technical expertise it must have taken to present it here.
