I think I will just paint out the shadow on the bottom lily pad...easier... and there will be an empty space on the left if I take that one out.
Hi Sharon. I love the design and complimentary color harmony. I would suggest that you do more with the white flower ... you only have 2 values. I would suggest 2 values in the light, and 2 values in the darks for that flower. also, the leave on the left looks like it is above the bottom leaf ...and actually casting a shadow. The shapes between those 2 Lilly pads are very ambiguous as to what those shapes represent. do you see how that left pad looks like it is sitting on a ledge above the bottom lily pad? I would actually take that left lily pad out and replace with the violet water and a very few stalk reflections. That way, you get rid of the ambiguous look, and ... the violet color of your complimentary pair becomes the dominant color.
