Mairo, Thank you. About that green, you are so observing. Yes, that is for the more obvious  colour contract.  Under the instruccion of our teacher, I painted it well. But I have a lot of work that I even do not want you to see them. ha,ha,ha, with hugs.

This is a beautiful painting, well done! Everything about it seems perfect and I really like the way you have added that brighter green under the gull and the reflections to his plumage. It compliments his red beak and legs so well.

Pauline. Thank you so much for your encouragement. It is beautiful. But, I glaced a lot as I could not get the correct value, colour and shape of the brush stroke immediately.  I have to learn observing more carefully to get accurate information of the bird. Our teacher's eye is so sharp. He got the important  information of the bird correctly and was able to express it in one stroke in most of case. It needs time of practice , painting a lot, unfortunately.
