I just came to take another look at your great painting Deb, and was surprised to see my comment wasn't here!  Just love this, how you have captured this cute guy perched, and on the lookout, on this bench!  I think every thing about this painting is charming!  So glad I came back, as I thought I had complimented you awhile back.

Aurelia, yes. I hate the canvas texture for some reason and love to apply a texture first. I use lots of washes of color. Thx.
