..and thanks for commenting on this, Elizabeth - an interesting comment what's more! This painting is on the back of the 'To thelighthouse' painting - which my niece tok - so she got two in one! It's somewhere in Spain now then!

I love this Jon. It is so peaceful and the village and the mountains seem as one village like a parent with its children.

Thanks, Adrienne - yep, you're right - that's the concept (which happened by accident!)

- but Jessica's point that they could be a bit lighter (and thus have color in 'em) is something I really must try.

I've also got too much of a white/chalky effect on the roofs - they need to be warmer - but the painting is surprisingly cool and I like it! - something I don't think I've done before!

Something about it I really like! Those buildings being so dark gives the mountains a real presence and splendor.

Hi, Jessica, thanks - yes, it sure is - btr - problem - I lightened it and it looked bad - so I re-darkened it! - guess I've overdon it - could maybe have some really nice mid-value shadows with interesting colors - thanks for the help!!

Nice shapes with the houses/roofs, Jon - a bit dark overall maybe?
