..and thanks again, Cristina :) !!!
This is so lovely! Great job,Jon!
I don't like his paintings much, but he is an excellent teacher.
Thanks for the link, Aurelia - I've never come across him before!
Guess, you're right - or maybe I just need interesting shapes - representational painting is abstract really (grin)
If you love painting boats, than you paint boats. That is your niche. Don't paint stuff you don't like. It will show.
Hi, Aurelia - thanks, I think I forgot to soften the diagonal (the sea shouldn't ALL be in shade) and the color temp of the beach is maybe too warm - I can't seem to find subjects I like other than boats, arghh!!!
Another beautiful painting! Love your broken colour and colour harmony! Really nice Jon!
Hi, Pauline - ta - it's still boats as a subject - but maybe starting to get a little less literal - more interpretative? got to move in that direction, anyway
Great boats Jon, brilliant painting!
Hi, Anne - thanks - very interesting comment - I wasn't sure about the color temp ofr the 'beach' - it's got that green seaweed on it - but I reckon you're right and it should be cooler - sort of more grey wet mud, in fact. Cheers!
