Hello everyone, I'm Richard from the well worn, and highly used area, Great Britain. My journey began among the derelict mills, shops and row upon rows of terraced housing,  Bolton. From the swift beginning, I was challenged with mass unemployment, community disfigurement and social unrest. I thrived because I was different. My art had carried me forward to a place of beauty, only I could see.

As I developed, my art took on new challenges. As I began to experiment with colour so my own life became an evolution of attempting to master my emotions. I was very temperamental. My art, especially colour resolved some of these issues. I worked with the mental health, then onto children with special needs. This took up 17 years of my life and I let my art work take a back seat...

Now as I step from the country lane of familiarity, I venture onto the motorway for the first time. Joining the motorway can be very difficult, nail biting and horrendous experience as imaginable. And when you look across towards the fast lane, your heart almost stops.

Luckily for me it didn't. After cruising for a few years, hugging the hard shoulder, I over took. Now as I gain confidence in the middle lane, I know it won't be long before I zoom off over the horizon...
