how to frame an oil on gesso arches watercolor paper?

I get good results painting on watercolor paper?  The question is about presentation, Should I mount on hardboard ( apply gesso to the back of the painting first and then glue it on with PVC glue) then varnish the painting and frame in frame without glass just like an oil painting.

Solution 2.  frame like a watercolor in mat and under glass.

Same question for unstreched canvass.

Hi Jim,

I Googled and found several articles for ideas for you.

There might be others as well.  I have not done this so went searching for ideas on Google.
