Thanks, Ruby!
really nice !!
Thanks, Linda! And, yes, I've done that!
Have you ever started painting after dinner and got so involved that you lost track of time? I've done it where I'm painting and then realize that I hear birdsong, look up and it's getting light out--at least it keeps me from eating after dinner!
Oh I know Susan! When I do watercolors, I get to the point where I feel like I'm crawling around in them, I have to make myself stop!
Thanks, Candi! I thought this was going to be a quick little study-it turned out otherwise! I saw a video that said when you're doing a lot of rocks, paint the area the main color and then paint in the highlights and shadows and the few rocks that were different colors, I thought that would work for this picture....3 days later, I'm still working, fascinated by all the colors, curling leaves and textures in there!
Really nice Susan, your colors are spot on too! I'm going to take Thomas Ruchstuhl's suggestion and try painting some quick, small paintings. Going to start with some of the yummy figs in my yard.
