Well, where do I start? Before I had my current Job I worked in a Barber-shop in New York City... I put myself thru 2 semesters of college plying the Barber trade.

I will always be thankful for that skill-set. I am currently a license barber but have not done it in years I still keep my documents current in case I have to retrograde.

I use Acrylic (basics brand) because it's cheap and fast drying. I am currently away from home, so I sat-up these still life items to generate this composition. What spurred this was my recent visit to NY.

I went to visit my buddies in the Barber-shop and they had re-done the interior and it looks really good. I asked my friend Deryk if he would like one of my study pieces to hang on the shop wall. and he was ecstatic, little did he know I was “more-so (ECSTATIC)” because as an aspiring artist we can all agree that regardless if someone purchase one our pieces or is given one as a gift, our greatest pleasures come from them actually showcasing it in their place of business or solitude.

The lighting in my hotel room is poor; however, we paint for the love of it regardless of the situation.

The piece is 20 x 16 pre-stretched canvas from “Michael’s value pack.”

The cup is painted so well. I like the wallpaper too. I like everything about the painting but the fact that everything is positioned on the right side of the canvas. It makes that side look so heavy. Some of the masters used to balance a large object on one side of the canvas with a smaller object on the other side of the canvas. Keep up the good work Roger. Ro
