oil on textured panel, 11' by 14", plein air. This was the week before the Portola Gallery painting. Some of my shapes of the buildings were off on their perspective, so a little more studio work than usual was needed after the plein air session. Message to self is: "Get you sketch on canvas right before applying a lot of paint; details aren't as important as getting the shapes right!"

It's quite 'busy' - but I finfd that works well here - it feels exuberent! The lesson about the shapes first is a good one!
