9 X 12 oil on linen. As the sun goes down each evening, our community located near the Grand Canyon enjoys the changing colors of our cliffs. Usually the sun cast variations of red upon them. Occasionally they glisten with gold for about 10 minutes.

Thank you my artist friends for your kind comments! This was my fourth try and finally got close to what I wanted. Jon...trees are something I struggle with still. I tried different approaches...someday I will achieve what I want!

Very much like the strong, clean shapes of the relief (nice color too!). Wonder if the trees couldn't be more dynamic and 'feathery' or textured?!?
