I am experimenting with different mixes on normal oil canvas to paint watercolour on top. You do get a primer, but that is very expensive. I find that your normal chalk paint (much cheaper) do the same job or just add a bit chalk to your primer. You have to seal it afterwards.

Thank you for your comments.  I want to get watercolour on normal box canvas that does not need any framing.  Your have to seal it very good thou, but its working!
