My first plein air painted at the May14, 2015 workshop with our teacher Richard and John. It is also my first work finished outdoor. Not perfect but encourage me to paint more on site. Thanks to Richard and John. I had a fun and wonderful experience with them and other interesting students. And I learnt a lot.

Pauline, you are so right. It was a wonderful experience and very excited learning procedure with those interesting students. Richard is , as you mentioned, a fantastic teacher.
Love all your confident brush strokes Ningning. Richard is a fantastic teacher, i have experienced 2 of his workshops and like you learnt so much and benefited from working with all the other students. Super painting :-}}
Dear Mary, Thank you so much. In fact, my painting is not so dramatic. I took the photo in the room with the light on, The light made it dramatic. Thank you again for your encouraging comments.
Wow! When I met you at the workshop I had no idea you had come that far. This is a LOVELY painting; I especially like the blues in your water and your energetic brush work. Great job, Ningning!
Mireille, it is very nice of you taking time to comment on my work. Sorry that I did not reply sooner. Yes, you are so right paint plein air is very helpful for everything a painter should be able to handle. Good luck to your painting experiences.
I think you did a very nice job :) Especially I can see you really tried to apply the big bold brush strokes John and Richard do. Its very hard when you are not used to that style of painting and I applaud you went for it!
Many thanks, Glenys.
Wow, this is stunning Ningning, beautiful composition and I love the blocks of dark water in the foreground, makes it very dramatic, it all harmonises beautifully. It's a winner.
Micheal, Many thanks for your encouragement. It is very nice of you.
Yes, the painting is very exciting. I was very excited at that moment. As I have never painted something and finish it in such a dramatic nature, I was sensetionally overwelmed.
Now, back to Peru, everything is cool down. I am not sure that I can do another exciting one. People say that if we can repeat the same good things in different paintings( like you can do it in your so many masterpieces)that means we mastered the tecnic. Otherwise, just by chance. I think that was by chance, not very stable and sure.
Michael, back to Lima, up to now, I only painted 2 hours. So many other things waiting for me to do... But I will try my best to finish that horse and dancer earlier.
I hope that your shoulder is better so that you can enjoy painting more and show them here. Love to look at them.
Donna, Thank you.
