It makes a nice photo with those leaves flying, but I assure you it was ear-spitting and peace-shattering (although I do appreciate how well maintained the park is).

Silvana, I've never seen a vehicle like this either.  I think the leaves go in there, but I'm not sure.

Hello Britt! Yes, I am native from Arg. and live about 70km away from BsAs. I never pick up the leaves. We have got ash trees and oaks, and I love the way they look, and love the leaves on the grass. They decompose quite fast... and it is not so rainy here... . Some people do rake them and burn them... In the cities they rake and 'broom' them and place them in bags... It's the first time I see those machines, which I wonder what they are for. Do they blow the leaves and place them in there?

Silvana,

Yes, they are picked up in parks and people also rake them out of their yards.  Soon it will rain almost every day in my area.  If the leaves were still on the paths, they would quickly turn to slippery compost, and most people think they look messy in the grass, too.  I had to look to see where you live.  Are you native to Argentina?

Wow! Are  the leaves always picked up in autumn?

This photo was just to remind me of how ridiculous the moment was.  You can't see all of them, but there were 3 leaf-blowers on each side in the trees.  Ironically, it did turn out to be a lovely photo. ; )
