Thanks to all for your encouraging comments.  After posting it, at night, I realized that my background touch up at the front of the bird was wrong value.  Note to self to not pain in poor light.  I also noticed that I forgot to put in feet.  The next day I went to fix those things and made a few more changes.  I have submitted the altered version.
