Going through a bit of a frustrating time at the moment - trying to break out from so much detail and producing lots of mud! Will have to try Richard's block study. Thank you for asking Thomas.

Thanks Jon,,,,,Thank You Ann, .....I think the deal for me is painting on location...You learn to paint quickly, and just try to get big shapes, and accurate values.........

Nice simplification of this scene ! It has a calm peaceful feeling ! Thomas how did you learn the art of putting a stroke down in the right place and then just leaving it alone until each new stroke completes the idea of the painting ?
