Outdoor painting is a different ballgame. Usually i get beaten up in some way. But there is a different energy out there and once in a while i find myself surfing on it.... Hope you get the wave today!
I have been thinking of starting a group, or a little festival with competition. No plans yet, just collecting ideas. Looking forward to hear your experiences!

I have no clue what Im going to do. Ive always painted from photos so Im not sure what to do but Ill have from 9-5 to figure it out.There are 25 of us competing. I dont think Ill win but Ill definitely get the deep end of the pool experience.

You should start a group. I bet there are others there that would love to go with you.

Lucky you Manneherrin and good luck! There are no plein air events over here... I think i am the only plein air painter in the region.... One in a million :-D
How much time do you have and any particular plan?

This is almost identical to the scene I am about to  paint in the plein eir competition tomorrow. Here is a snapshot of my scene. Its my first home in Georgia by the sea where wild horses run free. Here is the coastal businesses I chose to paint.
