Thanks Jessica, Silvana, and joy.  Yes, this is a gorgeous beach, a favorite of mine, but too rough for swimming.  When the waves rolled back from shore the wet sand looked purple.  Since it was my first Plein Air I sat back in this brush so I wouldn't feel intimated by people walking behind me.  Now I have a little more confidence!
