The composition is striking. The woman and the mirror, opposed to each other on a strong diagonal. This leads into the sensuous oppositions and tensions conceptually. The woman, hard-eyed but soft as a blossom, contained in the circle of the chair, in tension against the hexagonal mirror, containing the reflection of a peach blossom, a mixture of hard wood and soft petals. All Against a background neatly split on a horizontal. Lovely.
