Had fun with this one, definately a once off though. Also in oils. Can you imagine these squares done in oil? Patience is a virtue......

Kim, you made my day. Now I imagine him sitting on one of those floating carpets way up between the clouds :-).
And Gail, with that in mind, how about us chaning the title to "the student trumpetplayer"? This painting is taking on a whole new meaning for me now - I love the way everybody sees something different in it. Thanks!
I love the whimsy in this painting Adele. A fantastic job in oil.
Looks like he hit the wrong note half way through the song! :-))
Hi Kim, yes I need to move away from the serious work every now and then, just to keep the balance and prevent me from getting despondent. The idea was to be a little silly, and the picture a lot of fun
Dennis, glad you enjoyed the view so to speak. That certainly is what paintings are all about hey, the visual enjoyment. As the canvas is bevelled, I attach a photo so you can see what happen to the notes! All on the floor, and of course, there had to be an odd one out.
And Peter, yes, I do not know yet what my niche is. I enjoy everything I paint (that is apart from fish and water or anything cold for that matter). And there is nothing serious about my painting yet; I started fabric painting 10 years ago. When I had enough cushion covers and table cloths, I started painting things I could hang up, and so started my framing career. The beautiful oil paintings I had to frame motivated me to pick up the brush again and experiment with oils, and so none of my works are done "by the book". Therefore I will really appreciate any suggestions from you guys regarding any aspect of my work that can help me becoming a better artist. Thanks to you all.
I had alot of fun looking at this .love .
How fun this is to veiw , yes you are right about patience Don;t know if I could muster that much Patience .
