Portola Springs Vineyard

Oil on textured hardboard panel, 11" by 14", plein air. This was painted at the Thomas Fogarty Vinyard in Portola Springs, California. The fog came and went with different lighting conditions and I split the difference to show some light on the vines but a partially obscured distant ridge.

I closed the loop today by visiting the winery and tasting a delightful Chardonnay from the vineyard that I painted. I also got some better photos of a restored 1935 Ford pickup truck and will probably add a painting of it to my "old trucks" series. Better lighting today with no fog and scattered high clouds.
