Oil on textured hardboard panel, 11" by 14", plein air. This was painted at the Thomas Fogarty Vinyard in Portola Springs, California. The fog came and went with different lighting conditions and I split the difference to show some light on the vines but a partially obscured distant ridge.

really like this Stuart :)
Nice use of light and color ! The deep purple mass sets of those bright greens
Great work Stu .... good to see some color creeping into your work.
Me too, Laura (go there and paint, that is)!! I resisted joining the wine club! Great views today; got some nice photos, I think (haven't downloaded and looked at them yet)!
Stu, Peter and I did the same yesterday. We had party there in year 2000 with Nokia company when both were worked there. The view is just amazing and I will have to go back there to paint soon!
Stu, Allied is very beautiful garden. If you come on Tuesday you should ask Cindy come too, because it is very close by Stanford shopping center and there is great restaurant in the garden as well. She will enjoy the garden and shopping.
